The great Singapore Lapse

There is an island small as a dot
With all their leaders talking rots
Going for a dragon boat race
A Safety lapse of five lives laced

Then came the great Mas’s escape
Wow, what a beautiful wayang made
As Wong can sing songs with gongs
From east to west he ran all day long

Then the court’s case runs wild
With a captive that ran off for a while
Be it a slap but not hard enough
Perhaps a scratch on their face runs foul

Then there came an airport lapse
A checking system with duty naps
Our international image dangling in the air
And they have the guts to raise airport tax

Then again came an army recruit
A medical lapse that flush him through
With a rifle from camp he walks
A security lapse they coolly try to fog

The old man from Middle East did cough
That our home team is a complacent lot
Perhaps with his mind so sharp
He saw that our ministers are too puffed up

Oh, had I forgotten the Flyer's woo
Which, lapse into a wheel of doom
Frequent by apes and apes alone
Be it left empty for his family’s tomb
It’s Enough
